"Think about blockchain as a game changing system - a network to store, track and move valuable assets, revolutionizing many aspects of life and business"

What Is Blockchain ?
Blockchain is a decentralized digital ledger that stores a variety of data (cryptocurrency transactions, NFT ownership, DeFi smart contracts, etc). All databases are held on multiple computers spread out across a network. It enables a high degree of security and efficiency, moving and validating transactions and information.
How Does Blockchain Work ?
The digital ledger is described as a “chain” made of individual “blocks” of data. When fresh data is added to the network, a new “block” is created and attached to the “chain". Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data.
Who Invented Blockchain ?
Blockchain was invented in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonym of an unknown person(s), as a public transaction ledger for Bitcoin without a trusted authority or central server.
How Is Blockchain Used ?
-
Payment processing and money transfers within a matter of seconds at very low fees
-
Supply chains monitoring, locating items in real time assuring quality-control
-
Digital IDs, giving users control over who accesses that data
-
Data sharing, securely storing and moving enterprise data in different industries
-
Copyright and royalties protection, creating and providing a transparent and real-time database
-
Internet of Things, identifying and auto assessing the trustworthiness of new devices being added to the network
-
Healthcare, managing clinical trials data and electronic medical records while maintaining regulatory compliance

"Blockchain is the inevitable future - it's going to replace the entire Internet"

Blockchain Advantages ?
-
Trust, proving transactions or data sharing between parties
-
Decentralized structure, providing no single entity in charge
-
Security and privacy, recording transactions with end-to-end encryption, which eliminates out fraud and unauthorized activity
-
Reduced costs by eliminating middlemen -- vendors and third-party providers
-
Speed, handling each transaction in seconds or less
-
Visibility and traceability, managing inventory, respond to problems or questions and confirm the histories of its merchandise
-
Immutability, tracking information over time, enabling a secure, reliable audit of information
-
Individual control of data, using blockchain-enabled smart contracts
-
Tokenization, converting a physical or digital asset into a digital token, recorded and shared on blockchain
-
Innovation, implementing blockchain-based systems to solve intractable problems

Industries That Blockchain Will Disrupt in the Future
1. Banking
Peer-to-peer payment system with high security and low fees. Transactions are recorded in a ledger with no central authority.
2. Cybersecurity
All information stored on blockchain network is verified and encrypted using a cryptographic algorithm, providing a secure
and transparent way of recording transactions without disclosing private information to anyone.
3. Supply Chain Management
Blockchain provides permanent transparency and validation of transactions shared by multiple supply chain partners, making it easy for an owner or a customer to view each record.
4. Healthcare
Blockchain eliminates the need for a central authority and enables rapid access to data, improving privacy, security, and interoperability of medical records.
5. Government Activities
Blockchain ends problems of fraud in voting process, allowing people to vote online easily, and officials count votes with absolute accuracy. When a vote is added to a ledger, it cannot be changed or erased. Other applications include digital asset registries, notary services, taxes, etc.
6. Transportation
Blockchain allows easy coordination of documents, eliminating physical paperwork. Using smart contracts, approvals and customs clearance is quicker and more efficient, minimizing processing times for goods. Blockchain ensures trustworthy data across the transportation and logistics ecosystem.
7. Cloud Storage
Blockchain eliminates servers to store data in the cloud. With high speed and low cost, users can earn money by sharing their storage space.
8. Real Estate
Blockchain significantly accelerates the usual processes of the real estate market, providing automated transactions by using smart contracts and fast access to all data relating to a property or land: title deeds, land registry, technical information and surveys, co-ownership information. Everything is available 24/7, with real-time data and instant validation.
